New Moon, the second in the line of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga to arrive on the large screen, has had something of a bumpy ride getting here. First up there was the problem of Edward Cullen, played in the movies by heart-throb Robert Pattinson, and the restricted quantity of your time he’s truly in the second book, and then there was the problem of the lawsuit filed by an recent college room-mate of Meyer’s, who claimed alleged plagiarism against the author of Twilight.

The solid and crew carried on though, and the outcome of their labours has rapidly become an enormously massive hit all over the planet. Edward is seen throughout the show in a way that could appear a bit cheesy, but then, this is often the Twilight line, and cheese isn’t any stranger to it. That said, the show has been getting a lot of higher reviews than the first film in the range, that was not welcomed by many critics and brought to task for some of the fairly tricky terms of the connection concerning a teenage girl and a century-old vampire.

It would appear that the makers of the Twilight films over at Summit listened to the positive evaluation of some reviews (and overlooked the rants of those who disliked it) and have made a much better show this time round. Their born fruit, and forecasts of the show being a large hit have been demonstrated to be spot on. Fans have been stampeding to see it, and the New Moon toys area is full ofnovel things for fans to collect.

The assortment of New Moon toys looks a little classier than what has gone before for franchises such as Harry Potter, as the books that every one of this stems from are aimed at a different demographic; particularly kids in their early to mid teens, rather than kids upwards. This can be why some aspects of the merchandising, such as the Twilight and New Moon duplicate jewellery, is proving to be such a robust seller.

It’s also fascinating that alternative New Moon toys things like posters, calendars, bookmarks and others of their type are thus fashionable with fans, together with special editions of the books themselves, as this is often rather different to the manner that things typically come with show toys.

The special editions of the Twilight novels are actually seen as collector’s things to several fans, with these Twilight special editions remaining untouched on shelves or still in packaging whereas their well-thumbed paperbacks are often read and enjoyed. The audience is thrilled with the newest show, while many critics are again pulling it apart. That is an indication of something with a terribly robust fanbase indeed, and it can certainly continue when ‘Eclipse’, the third Twilight show in the collection, arrives.
